Anne
Frank lived a life that no one in America would dream of. She endured through
the tough times and liberated her thoughts in her diary. The story of this
brave little girl is amazing. Born in Germany and having only a short normal
childhood, her diary tells all about the struggles of living in hiding for years.
The arrest and death of Anne Frank and her family is a true heartbreaking
tragedy. The perspective of Hitler and Miep Gies are complete opposites, and show the truly sad mindset of society during this time. I will never understand how anyone could gain power to take control and rule like Adolf Hitler did. I pray that no one ever has that much power in this world again. Anne’s memory will live on forever, along with the many victims of the
Holocaust. Anne's story is taught in schools across the world, educating children about the Holocaust and the bravery of a child. I will definitely use her story in my classroom one day to teach about this subject. The building that housed the secret annex is now called the Anne Frank Museum. It's located in Amsterdam and houses original objects owned by those in hiding, including Anne's original diary. ("Anne frank house," 2014) Her story is living on in many different ways around the world. The quote from Anne about believing that people are truly good at
heart is amazing. After everything she was going through she still had hope and
saw the good in people. It’s hard to comprehend that people that would
persecute millions of people could be good at heart. But through all the
struggles, Anne did. Do you believe that people are really good at heart?
